Dr. Beatrix Neumaier-Ammerer
Ophthalmologist (specialist in ophthalmology)
Dr. Beatrix Neumaier-Ammerer is a specialist in ophthalmology with a focus on the treatment of cataract (clouding of the eye's natural lens). Over many years she has gained extensive experience in retinal and vitreous surgery.
She performs cataract operations as well as retinal and vitreous procedures, and treats conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinal changes and vitreous opacities.
She cares for her patients at two locations, in Payerbach (Lower Austria) and in Vienna. Dr. Neumaier-Ammerer is a Wahlärztin (elective doctor: you pay upfront and claim partial reimbursement from your insurer); the Vienna practice holds a contract with the KFA.
